Now that Halloween is over and we’re flying into getting ready for Thanksgiving your house might look a little more spooky than thankful. Here are a few tricks to switch your house over without having to spend a ton of extra cash on brand new decorations:

Simply turn Jack-o-lanterns around so the face is out of the viewers eye, you will be able to keep your favorite decorations around and move on to the next holiday.

Take away purple accents and replace with a rich chocolate brown or cardinal red. There aren’t many differences in Halloween decorations and fall as far as the color scheme is concerned, just a few tweaks and you’re ready to go.

If you enjoy having banners or fonts and words around the house, some bunting and banners are double sided and you can simply replace “Spooky” or “Happy Halloween” with “Feast” or “Gratitude & Thanks”. Try looking in the scrapbooking section or wood letters which can also be a fun painting project!

Have any leftover candy corn or candy from Halloween? Use it as a centerpiece or jar anchor instead of rocks or glass beads.

Finally, make sure to switch out skeletons and witches with turkeys and leaves or squash to complete your look!

Have a fun!
